I wonder about some of the things you pass off as work sometimes! On the topic though, definitely a strong satisfaction from making something tangible with your hands. I made a sock puppet based on a drawing I did a few weeks ago, and even though it took me about twenty minutes to thread a needle, it was a different type of satisfaction altogether. The same goes for working with film as I have been compared to video. It feels a lot more gritty and real and a whole lot more satisfying. Maybe it's just the caveman in me.
